Over 500 people attended the NAIDOC Week Family Fun Day held at Bain Park in Wauchope on Thursday 11 July. After days of rain in the lead up, the sun shone as the event got underway with a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony.

Organised by the Hastings NAIDOC Committee to celebrate Indigenous culture, the Family Fun Day included a wide variety of  activities for the whole family including cultural performances, stalls, music and entertainment, workshops, barbeque lunch, reptile display and a petting zoo.
