Residents were taken back in time on Thursday (8 June) when the local Port Macquarie Heritage Car Club cruised into the Emmaus driveway with a dozen or so vintage cars.
In glorious sunshine about 30 residents (as well as a few family members and staff) had fun inspecting the cars on display. There was a buzz of conversation and many interesting questions asked. Throughout the morning, there were plenty of smiles and lots of laughter as residents reminisced and shared stories about the cars they drove and owned in their younger days.
“The morning was a great success! Everyone reminiscing… the delight on the faces of residents and staff was beautiful to see,” said Sharmain Peterson, Residential Services Lead.
