Pub with No Beer visit a welcome adventure after floods
What an adventure the May outing was for our community housing tenants! The group enjoyed a trip to the iconic Pub with No Beer at Taylors Arm for lunch with a pit stop in Kempsey for morning tea!
After the dismal weather and flooding in the weeks prior, the warm and sunny weather on the day of the outing was very welcome. Travelling by bus, the tenants saw for themselves the visible damage still present along the roads.
The new owners of the Pub with No Beer have done some impressive work to restore and improve the venue, which drew widespread praise from the group.
One of the highlights of the visit was Kelly playing a familiar old tune on the piano, which brought back fond memories.
It was also Rudy’s birthday on the day, so everyone had the chance to celebrate with him, which made the outing extra special.
Bus outings for Community Housing tenants are held to various locations on the last Friday of each month. They are free but tenants need to purchase their own food and drinks. Phone 5525 3600 to register your interest.
