The Future of Aged Care and Health Summit
Paul Shields, Executive Manager of Residential Care from St Agnes’ Care and Lifestyle, attended the Future of Health and Aged Care Forum in early April.
The forum, hosted by Business NSW and held at Charles Sturt University, brought together key stakeholders across the Health and Aged care sectors from the greater Port Macquarie area and discussed the challenges facing the two sectors. There were presentations and panel discussions which highlighted a range of opportunities to work together on issues such as workforce and GP coverage. The forum also presented an opportunity to talk about Emmaus Village and what this will deliver to the community.
“It was a positive day to meet other key stakeholders within our community. It was also a great opportunity to identify ways we can work more closely together to improve outcomes for our residents and community health” Paul said.
